delicious Surf ‘n’ Turf Foil Packs!


 Ingredients:


For the Surf:

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Turf:

1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetables:

1 pound baby potatoes, halved

1 cup baby carrots

1 cup green beans, trimmed

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish:

Chopped fresh parsley

Lemon wedges


Instructions:


1. Prepare the Marinades:

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper for the shrimp. Toss to coat and set aside.

In another bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper for the steak. Toss to coat and set aside.

2. Prepare the Vegetables:

In a large bowl, combine baby potatoes, baby carrots, green beans, olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.

3. Assemble the Foil Packs:

Cut four large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil (about 12x18 inches each).

In the center of each piece of foil, divide the vegetables evenly.

Top the vegetables with an equal amount of shrimp and steak.

Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top.

4. Seal the Foil Packs:

Fold the sides of the foil over the contents, then fold up the ends to create a sealed packet.

5. Cook the Foil Packs:

Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the foil packs on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp is opaque and the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness, and the vegetables are tender.

Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the foil packs on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the shrimp is opaque and the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness, and the vegetables are tender.

6. Serve:

Carefully open the foil packs (be cautious of the steam) and transfer the contents to plates.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
